Track Name: What We Had
What We Had
I've always been run by missed opportunities, imperfect timing,
this sense of "we"; faulty, sensory.
The rush from the chase, posthaste. Can we delay this next phase?

I wish I'd have known that we were so close. Now you're calling this off.
It's appalling, I know. We're falling in low, verily. This hole,
this chance.
More than slow dancing, entranced.

What we had was seemingly worth what we had endured;
no wait, and no weight. Short anticipation, no harm.

You knew I'd fall so hard. You took the floor, I dropped my guard.
You're down, and I'm lowly. So close, so far alone.

You are not home to me.

Can we delay this last phase?
Just leave when you say,

"I wish I could stay."
Track Name: Nobody's Home
Nobody’s Home

Falls leaves are falling free again.
Freezing, wilting, we’ll see you leave me for him,
And return like every winter’s urge to burn.
The things, rewinding you and me.
Can I turn off all the memories reminding you of me.

If it's going to end.
Our reluctancies will send us over the edge.
Pardon me but how could you make all those
mistakes, and think that I could stay.
If it’s going to bend.
You’re calling me, But nobody’s home.

And my phone is off the hook anyway.
you must have took my being silent
for my sympathy.
That dial tone is not any kind of milestone
for you and me, so you can be alone and I’ll be-
easily content with the ring.
Turn off all the memories of everything.

If it's going to end.
Our reluctancies will send us over the edge.
Pardon me but how could you make all those
mistakes, and think that I could stay.
If it’s going to bend.
You’re calling me.

Nobody’s Home
Nobody’s Home
Nobody’s Home
Nobody’s Home

If it's going to end.
Our reluctancies will send us over the edge.
Pardon me but how

Is it going to end?
Our reluctancies will send us over the edge.
Pardon me but how could you make all those
mistakes, and think that I could stay.
If it’s going to bend.
You’re calling me
But nobody’s home.

nobody’s home.
Track Name: Ms. Trust
Ms. Trust
It's not me, it's not you. It's not us, it's mistrust. We're stuck in a rut again. I guess it depends on the cause, the affection, and overall my intent. But this is descent and recently it seems to be something that I wish I could just prevent.

I don't want to talk and you don't want to fall. I sleep when I should be dreaming of what we could be. We're so far apart and the distance is starting to wear on my car and my heart.

We don't say a thing and we're way out of sync. I'm starting to think that we're both on the brink of a break. This mistake has cost everything between us and it seems trust is leaving us alone with the stakes.

Are we talking through a wall? I don't want to talk. My heart is unsleeved.

It's not me, it's not you. It's not us.
Track Name: Lady Of Summer
Lady of Summer
"It doesn't mean a thing," she said. A dozen feelings flailing in my head.
Am I failing? I succeed with her, but what is it I see in her?
I know it could be worse; she could be the first I fall for, and then
I'd fall apart as it begins; unraveled at both ends.

Summer's over again. I just hoped we'd saved this kiss for when it meant a thing at all,
but it can't, so I won't take the time for fall. And love will have to wait. Now I regret saying
I'd save a date, because you're gone, and you left the leaves to drag along.

I stay, though I should leave. I may have overlooked my opening to be
content. So I should just forget your lips; they're red like wine and dry between each sip,
and temporarily remind me of your lack of sensitivity.
I'll try not to care, but I do and it's futile, like the things I ever felt except the shame.
Dismiss the specialty of whispering.

You lied about the bed, and I lied about the last thing that I said before I left.
As if I'd wait, and then I came to terms and lifted off this weight.
But summer's over again. I just hoped we'd saved this kiss for
when it ended it all for good, and I knew that it would.
